Acoustical Design

At first glance this may seem like a speciality, one that applies to only a few clients. In reality, that's probably true. However, having an architect that has over 15 years of experience dealing with acoustics and its impact on design can be a very nice bonus. Controlling sound reflection and absorption, as well as dealing with sound transmission are critical when dealing with movie theatres, gymnasiums, or offices that are required to comply with HIPPA's (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) Oral Privacy Laws, but it can be equally as important to have an architect that is aware of problems such as reverberation or sound bleed and can eliminate the potential problems at no cost to the Owner.
